This illustration depicts the authentic Tibetan walks of life. Tibetans have the mythology of being descendent of an aggressive ogress and a compassionate monkey king who dwelled along the Yarlung valley. These genetic traits have served well with the Tibetans as being closer to nature and easily letting go of things like misfortunes.
These design elements show prominent landmarks with distinct customs and characters. At the centre, the Potala palace, with over 1000 chambers or cultural relics, stood 13 storeys high in the 7th century. A world heritage site was initially a fortress and is now a tourist attraction. But locals pray along the walls as it has all the past spiritual leaders and the Dalai lama's tomb inside.
Snow-peaked mountains and gentle yaks have roamed this thinned-air landscape for centuries, one can still see it as a land of Buddhas of compassion or snow.
